ZYsonic Technology offers a variety ultrasonic spray methods for medical device coatings such as drug eluting stents, drug eluting balloons, guidewires, hypo tubes, catheters, mandrels, etc.  Ultrasonic spray technology is a well accepted method for coating small, three dimensional objects with complex structures such as stents.  Due to the ultra low flow rate capabilities and the low velocity soft spray characteristics, ultrasonics are an ideal choice when spraying expensive materials such as drugs in a polymer solvent solutions such as Sirolimus (Rapamycin) and Paclitaxel.   Additionally, ultrasonic spray coatings can replace traditional dip coating methods for parts such as guidewires, catheters and hypotubes resulting in less waste, improved concentricity and longitudinal uniformity.  Additionally, due to the accurate spray pattern characteristics, excellent edge definition can be achieved allowing for the elimination of costly masking on medical devices.
