Working Principle and Characteristics of High Speed Dispersion Homogenizer

The high speed dispersing homogenizer is driven by a compact series excitation micro high speed motor. It is suitable for mixing low to medium and high viscosity liquids in laboratory or pilot plant, and for shearing and emulsifying particulate matter in liquid medium.

The working principle of high-speed dispersing homogenizer:

Due to the high speed operation of the rotor, the dispersed medium is automatically absorbed into the dispersed head, and then the dispersed medium passes through the rotor and stator at a higher speed. The huge acceleration applied on the dispersed medium produces great shear and breaking force. In addition, the high-speed disturbance between stator and rotor also promotes the best dispersion effect. The dispersion effect depends largely on the shear gradient and the time of particles in the shear region. The optimum relative circumferential velocity between rotor and stator is 6-20m/s. Usually a few minutes of dispersion will allow for the required granularity. Long time dispersion can only improve the particle size of the medium in the range of granularity, and long time dispersion can only increase the temperature of the medium.
